Fishmongers' Tavern Phased Opening Plan

Updated: Mar 14, 2023

After what has seemed like a lifetime getting the Tavern ready, we are finally in a position where we can share with you the date that we are going to be opening our doors for the first time.

The opening of the Fishmongers' Tavern will take place in a phased process. We feel it is the sensible thing to do, to ease ourselves in gradually to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible to our customers. This will give our brand new team the time to get used to the systems and procedures that we will be putting in place.

We will be hosting two private evening dining events on the 31st March and the 1st April. For these events, we will only be inviting contractors, friends, family and local businesses to come and dine with us to say thank you for the work and support they have given us.

On the 1st of April, the lounge room will be open to the public from 11.30am for drinks before our private dining guests arrive in the evening. During this time, you will also have the opportunity to have a look around the rest of the building.

On the 2nd April, we will be opening for Sunday lunch from 12pm until 5pm.

From the 3rd April until the 13th April, we will be offering a taster menu of 5 courses for £40 per head, which will be served in the evenings from 6:30pm. The taster menu will be mainly seafood, but we will also cater for meat eaters, vegans and vegetarians. During this period the only lunch service will be on Sunday 9th April.

From the 14th April onwards, we will be serving our full lunch menu from Monday to Saturday, and our a la carte menu for evening service 6 nights a week. Plus a Sunday lunch service.

Over the course of this week, we will be posting lots of information about The Fishmongers' Tavern, and the sort of things you can expect from us when we open. Stay tuned for updates via our website and on social media.
